Varied Voices Skyrim
The goal of Varied Voices Skyrim is to revamp the Skyrim experience by ensuring you don't hear the same old voices over and over. Twenty different characters throughout Skyrim shouldn't sound exactly the same, should they? We aim to eliminate this. How? By replacing every single minor character as well as the majority of major characters voices with their own unique voice actor. You'll never run into the same voice twice, since our talented actors are given a single role. Unless, of course, they have a range that justifies them voicing multiple!
Our intention with the mods first release is for it to be a 'proof of concept'. A demo if you will. By introducing players to the tip of the iceberg, we hope to tease what we have to offer as well as hopefully gather some critique to bring you better mod content moving forward.
The content of the second release will encompass the entirety of the town of Whiterun, giving it's beloved (and perhaps those not so beloved) residents some fresh new voices. But a few key figures in Whiterun will not be included in the main second release. In particular, the more iconic figures within Whiterun, like the Jarl, for instance. We've opted to, by default, preserve their iconic nature in the mod. However his rework, along with a few others, will be neatly tucked away in a handful of optional mods for you to install whenever you like!
For the third release, the scope of the mod will expand much more, changing up all of the voices in the entirety of Whiterun hold. From Rorikstead to Riverwood, every voice will be unique.
We'll be continuing this process until we complete the entirety of Skyrim as well as its DLC, while also offering optional packages and mods such as voice replacements for all of the Daedric gods who appear in Skyrim while also making it a very modular release. Many, if not all, of the Daedric gods are quite iconic, so you'll be able to pick and choose who gets re-voiced in your playthrough at your leisure. Interested in hearing a new voice for Nocturnal but in love with Sheogorath's current voice way too much? Not a problem.
After completing the entirety of Skyrim, as well as the release of several other related mods, we hope to collaborate with other mod authors on their own projects whether it be Quests, Companions, Guilds, etc. Further down the line, we plan to expand our horizons beyond Skyrim whether it's another Bethesda game, another triple A game or even an indie project.
